Canadian Business School Inc. O/A Canadian Business College (CBC) is committed to excellence in serving all customers including people with disabilities. Assistive devices We ensure that our staff are trained and familiar with various assistive devices that may be used by customers with disabilities while accessing our goods or services.
Training Videos are available for CBC staff to review on the College Internal Management System. Communication We communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. Service animals We welcome people with disabilities and their service animals. Service animals maybe allowed on the parts of our premises (If Landlord permits) that are open to the public. Support persons A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them on our premises. Fees will not be charged for support persons for admission to Canadian Business College’s premises. We will notify customers of this and should an additional fee be required for specialized equipment or personal to accommodate any Individuals need we will notify in writing in advance of any cost be incurred to the Individual. Notice of temporary disruption In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to services or facilities for customers with disabilities such as computer equipment failure, special needs furniture or equipment delivery or breakdown, elevator services or ramps not working, Canadian Business College will notify customers promptly. This notice shall be posted and will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available. The notice will be placed at the bulletin board or electronically via the student-log in site and/or may be announced verbally. Training for staff Canadian Business College does provide training to employees, volunteers and others who deal with the public or other third parties on their behalf. Individuals in the following positions will be trained: All staff have access to Tutorials provided on the Management System and are required to undergo training sessions. This training is provided to staff via the Management System to all existing staff and new staff are provided a full day training session related to Accessibility and Human Rights matters. How to use the equipment or devices , e.g. TTY, wheelchair lifts, etc., available on-site or otherwise that may help with providing goods or services to
Staff will also be trained when changes are made to your accessible customer service plan. Feedback process Customers who wish to provide feedback on the way Canadian Business College provides goods and services to people with disabilities can e-mail, verbally, suggestion box, paper or electronic feedback form. All feedback will be directed to the dean of the College. Customers can expect to hear back in 30 days. Complaints will be addressed according to our organization’s regular complaint management procedures.
A student or applicant who requires accommodation MUST disclose the need for accommodation prior to enrolling in a Program or taking any Test/Exam. A student that fails a Test or Exam can not request accommodation after the results have been issued on the basis of requiring accommodation (The college reserves the right to deny such a request). However should the need for accommodation arise during a Program the student must notify the College immediately and prior to any Test or Exam. Modifications to this or other policies Any policy of Canadian Business College that does not respect and promote the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or removed.
